Behaviour Support Worker - Full Time, Long-Term

Location: Bradford Start Date: After Easter 2026 Agency: Veritas Education

Veritas Education is working closely with a trusted partner secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker for a full-time, long-term position starting after the Easter break.

We are seeking a confident, resilient and nurturing individual who can build positive relationships with young people and support them in overcoming barriers to learning. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in behaviour support, youth work, SEMH settings, or anyone passionate about helping students achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting students with behavioural needs both in and out of the classroom
  • Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement
  • Working closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff and classroom teachers
  • Providing 1:1 or small group interventions where required
  • Promoting a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

    • Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (school, community, or youth settings)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
  • Ability to build rapport and motivate learners
  • A genuine passion for supporting students' wellbeing and development
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
