Behaviour Intervention Lead

Location - Leeds (LS14 Area)

Job Type - Temp to Permanent

Salary: £21,000 - £23,000

Daily Rate: £100.00 - £125.00 per day

The Role:

Veritas Education are currently working with an SEMH setting which support learners between 5 - 16 years old with a varied range of Social, Emotional, Mental Health and Behavioural needs. The behaviour intervention lead role will be working alongside the behaviour team in managing all behaviour across the school, from classroom-based behaviour to more serious incidents/crisis moments around the school.

You will work alongside support staff, teachers, SLT and intervention staff in providing suitable, safe, nurturing and effective behaviour management across the setting throughout the school week.

Requirements:

  • Team Teach - Level 2 - This is essential behaviour management training which Veritas Education can provide prior to starting the position.
  • Experience supporting a range of age groups demonstrating potentially dangerous, at risk, crisis based or challenging behaviour.
  • Knowledge around SEMH needs and other learning needs is preferred.
  • Resilience within the workplace and confident in managing challenging and high-pressure situations whilst ensuring the care delivered has the leaners needs prioritised.
  • Comfortable working alongside varying professional staff throughout an educational or support based setting.
  • Anyone who has previously worked in Youth Centre's, similar SEN schools, young offending centres, coaching backgrounds and support work positions can be the ideal candidate for a Behaviour Intervention Lead based role, so even if you've not directly been in an SEMH setting, we would still be interested in hearing your previous experience!
