Veritas Education is working with a highly regarded specialist school in Newcastle that supports pupils with Autism across all age groups. Every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school provides a nurturing, structured environment where individual needs are at the heart of everything they do.

We are looking to recruit Autism Support Assistants for a range of opportunities, from day-to-day supply cover and short-term assignments through to full-time, long-term positions.

The Role

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide individual and small-group support to pupils with Autism
  • Help pupils access learning activities tailored to their needs
  • Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider support team
  • Promote a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
