About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor student attendance by maintaining accurate records, tracking absences, and identifying patterns of concern.
  • Follow up on unexplained absences by contacting parents, guardians, and relevant stakeholders to support student re-engagement.
  • Generate attendance reports and provide data analysis to support school decision-making and intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with staff and support teams to implement attendance improvement initiatives and address barriers to student participation.
  • Ensure compliance with attendance policies by maintaining accurate records and adhering to departmental guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, record management, and preparation of reports.
  • Engage with students, parents, and external agencies to promote the importance of regular attendance and well-being.
  • Support school events and initiatives that encourage student engagement and participation.

About You

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong data management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, particularly with students, families, and community organizations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to support attendance interventions and student re-engagement.
  • A commitment to inclusivity and student well-being, ensuring attendance strategies support diverse needs.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
