About the Role
The primary role of the Associate Directors of Academic Education is to work alongside teachers leading and embedding pedagogical development within the Primary School setting; focusing on the provision of a positive learning environment. The role will champion the school's literacy approach which is grounded in contemporary pedagogical practices, emphasising the elements of oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.
About You
You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- Proven experience to develop innovative academic pathways to achieve outstanding academic results for all students
- Curriculum knowledge and teaching and learning strategies from Pre-school to Year 6, explicitly with a focus on Literacy development
- The ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff, lead others and reflect on your own leadership
- Proven experience of living out the leadership values of integrity, curiosity, professionalism, creativity and collaboration
- PYP experience or an understanding of Inquiry pedagogy
- The ability to implement initiatives, project delivery and change management
- Administrative and organisational skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the full life of an Independent school and a willingness to engage in School activities out of regular hours
- A track record of school leadership

- A current National Police Check; and
