Position Information

At Windang Public School, we are dedicated to continuous improvement for both students and staff, guided by the Science of Learning and Science of Reading. We focus on academic excellence, creative arts, and sports, ensuring that every child is known, valued, and supported. Our motto, "Success with Honour," reflects our commitment to nurturing well-rounded students. We also benefit from an active and engaged P&C, as well as strong ties with the local community.

With 190 students, including 30 who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, we offer specialist lessons in music, Italian, art, and sports. Our students also enjoy a variety of excursions and camps throughout the year. Recently, we have upgraded our facilities and designed play areas that encourage exploration, collaboration, and confidence-building.

Our leadership team uses the CLARITY 14 Parameters to drive continuous improvement across the school. We maintain high expectations for staff and students, promoting a positive culture built on evidence-based practices and non-negotiable teaching approaches. Teachers regularly use formative and summative assessment data to make informed decisions about the learning needs of students.

Windang Public School is proud to be part of the Lake Learning Community of Schools and the newly formed Illawarra Battalion of Schools, fostering authentic collaboration among principals and staff across several principal learning networks.
