Position Information
Wentworthville Public School is a growing community and has an enrolment of 840 students K-6, including 96 % from a language background other than English, with a high intake of students who are newly arrived to the country and 0.35% of students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school caters for students from a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities with three Multi-Categorical classes in the support unit. The school focus on educational aspirations through excellence and engagement for all students is a key feature the school prides itself on.
The school community has high expectations for student achievement, where students are challenged through explicit quality teaching and differentiation, through the use of data to inform practice. Student wellbeing is supported by the whole school PBL framework and newly introduced Gotcha4Life program alongside other wellbeing initiatives. 2. Demonstrated capacity to strategically lead whole school curriculum implementation for impact, with a data lens, to drive pedagogical change.
3. Evidence of a deep understanding of student and staff wellbeing and equity and diversity to build positive relationships and a culture that ensures every student can thrive and flourish, including those identified as HPGE.
4. A highly visible and approachable leader with well-developed communication skills, committed to building and maintaining trusting relationships with students, staff and the wider diverse community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
