Vaucluse Public School is a K-6 school in the eastern suburbs of Sydney with an enrolment of 220 students. There are 11 classes comprising of 8 mainstream classes and 3 support classes for students with autism and/or intellectual disability. Our students perform exceptionally well across the domains of potential. Outstanding learning is driven by high-quality teaching, high expectations and a commitment to continual improvement. Teachers collaborate to refine their practice, engage in meaningful professional learning and use evidence-informed approaches to maximise student growth.

Specific Selection Criteria

In addition to the general selection criteria:

1. Approval to teach K–6 with a proven ability to balance exemplary classroom practice with the complex responsibilities of school leadership.
2. Demonstrated expertise in leading teaching, learning and curriculum implementation, promoting literacy and numeracy excellence, and using data analysis to drive continuous improvement and student achievement.
3. Highly developed capacity to collaborate with executive, staff, students and the wider community to achieve strategic priorities and foster a culture of high expectations.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
