Position Information
Sarah Redfern Public School is a P-6 school located on the custodial lands of the Dharawal people, with a student population of approximately 316. We respectfully value and celebrate Dharawal culture and acknowledge the ongoing connection of the Dharawal people to the land, waterways, and community.
Situated in the dynamic suburb of Minto, our school is part of a strong, vibrant, and supportive learning community. We are enriched by a diverse student body, including 11% of students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and 75% from English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) backgrounds.
As a learning hub, Sarah Redfern Public School includes a preschool for 80 children, eleven mainstream classes, and five inclusive education classes serving students from Kindergarten through Year 6. Inclusive education is a cornerstone of our school culture, and we are committed to providing equitable learning opportunities and support for all students. In addition to a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, our school offers extra-curricular activities designed to extend and enrich student learning. General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
A collaborative leadership style that empowers teachers to adopt explicit, evidence-based teaching practices and effectively use literacy and numeracy data to enhance learning outcomes for all students.
Demonstrated experience in leading, modelling, and implementing whole-school High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) programs that effectively address the needs of diverse learners. Skilled in ensuring curriculum differentiation, maintaining high expectations, and driving measurable growth for all students.
Proven ability to collaborate cohesively as a member of the executive team in leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the School Excellence Plan.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
