Position Information
Richmond Public School is a semi-rural environment with students representing a wide range of social-economic backgrounds. Richmond is a school with approximately 305 students. The school has two Opportunity Classes (OC). The school caters for a wide range of needs and learning abilities. Most classes are formed into Stage groups to maximise student learning. Richmond Public School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) promoting strong wellbeing programs that highlight the positive behaviour of students within the school. The school opens its doors to the community through regular events and ceremonies that highlight and encourage the positive and outstanding achievements of the students and the wider community. Students at Richmond Public School are encouraged to participate in extracurricular programs covering the areas of academia, the arts, social, sporting and student leadership to equip them with the knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of a modern and technological society.
General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach infants and/or primary with the skills, knowledge and demonstrated capacity to effectively manage the dual role of an exemplary classroom teacher and Assistant Principal
- Proven ability to analyse and use a range of data to build the capacity of individuals and teams, to improve student outcomes in literacy and numeracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to strategically plan, lead and monitor initiatives, and apply evaluative practices to support the School Excellence Plan.
- An approachable leader with demonstrated commitment to the social, emotional and cultural needs of students and staff with proven ability to promote a positive, inclusive whole school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
