Position Information
Lindfield Public School is situated on the north shore of Sydney and has an enrolment of 537 students, of which 66% are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. It has an outstanding tradition of academic excellence. The students enjoy a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. Student learning is enhanced by utilising the latest technologies in all curriculum areas. Focus areas in Literacy for 2026 include literal and inferential comprehension, understanding persuasive texts and vocabulary. In Numeracy, areas to be strengthened include multiplicative strategies, clocks and calendars, problem solving and angles.

Specific Selection Criteria
1) A demonstrated capacity to balance the dual roles of exemplary classroom teacher with the complex responsibilities of a leadership role as part of a dynamic leadership team
2) A collaborative leadership style that supports teachers to engage with data to provide literacy and numeracy programs that promote differentiation to meet the needs of all learners and drive initiatives within the School Excellence Plan
3) A proven ability to lead a team of teachers to nurture student wellbeing by using a strengths-based approach, encouraging resilience and a growth mindset and individualised student wellbeing initiatives
4) A highly visible and approachable leader with the ability to demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and outstanding interpersonal skills to initiate, mentor, build and strengthen positive partnerships with students, staff, parents and the wider community
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
