Position Information
Kororo Public School has an enrolment of 484 students (including 7% Aboriginal students) and is located in the coastal suburb of Korora, 7.7km north of the CBD of Coffs Harbour. Students are drawn from a range of backgrounds the school has a FOEI of 76. The dedicated staff are a dynamic mix of experienced and beginning teachers and support staff. Excellence and academic achievement are valued by the school community and cultural, creative, sporting and social and emotional learning is promoted. Kororo Public School is implementing effective and successful wellbeing programs. Specific Selection Criteria
Expertise to lead, model and implement evidence-based and data-driven practices using the new syllabuses, with a focus on high expectations to ensure the continuous improvements of outcomes in literacy and numeracy for all students
Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the capacity to work collaboratively as a visible leader in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs and initiatives aligned with the Strategic Improvement Plan.
Proven ability to lead a dynamic and responsive school-wide approach to student inclusion, wellbeing, attendance and behaviour management processes enabling every student to connect, succeed and thrive.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
