Position Information
Kingswood Public School is a growing school located in Western Sydney, close to Penrith and has a student enrolment of 516. Our school has a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and wellbeing, implementing quality programs to improve student engagement and learning outcomes. Our school has strong support from the Parents and Citizens' Association and the school community. School Bytes will be implemented thoughout the school and community in 2025. Kingswood Public School operates using a stage based model for grouping students in our mainstream classes and has two Stage 3 Opportunity Classes that encompass students from within and beyond our catchment area. Our school is supported by a multicultural community, 78% of our students have a language background other than English and 13% of our students identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Our students come from a range of socio-economic backgrounds. Our school offers students opportunities to excel through extra-curricular activities including: sport, dance, choir, debating and public speaking.

2. Highly developed educational leadership skills with an expertise in building the capacity of all staff to meet student needs, with a strong focus on explicit teaching, differentiation and implementing new curriculum.
3. Proven capacity to work as a collaborative member of the executive team to strategically plan and lead initiatives and apply evidence-informed practices that contribute to the school’s strategic directions.
4. Demonstrated capacity in leading innovation, with a strong focus on embedding technology in teaching and learning programs and mentoring staff to drive continuous whole school improvement.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
