Position Information
Kellyville Public School has a long and proud tradition of providing quality public education to the Kellyville community for over 150 years and is located on Dharug country in the Hills District of Sydney. The school currently has 870 students enrolled, 68% of these students coming from a variety of cultural and language backgrounds other than English. Opportunities for students to demonstrate excellence include areas of academic, sporting, creative arts and leadership. General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrate capacity to work as part of a dynamic leadership team and balance exemplary classroom practice with the complexities of a leadership role.
2. The ability to initiate, lead and evaluate a culture of continuous improvement in literacy and numeracy driven by data-informed practice, current curriculum expertise and evidenced-based research.
3. A visible leader with the ability to demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and outstanding interpersonal skills to initiate, mentor, build and strengthen positive partnerships with students, parents, staff and the wider community.
4. Proven capacity to lead a whole school initiative working collaboratively with the executive team to develop and lead targeted, differentiated pedagogical practices to improve student outcomes.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
