Position Information
Griffith East Public School (GEPS) is located on Wiradjuri Country in the large regional centre of Griffith, NSW. The school has an enrolment of 490 students, which includes 15% of students who are Aboriginal and 21 % of students who come from an English as an Additional Language or Dialect background. The school Family Occupation and Education Index (FOEI) is 106. Our school has a fully integrated multi-categorical class (MC) which supports students from the local area. General Selection Criteria
Specific Selection Criteria
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with a demonstrated capacity to work successfully with the leadership team, balancing exemplary teaching with the demands of leading, supporting and promoting explicit, evidence-based teaching practices.
Proven capacity to lead, model, and support whole-school approaches that cater effectively for diverse learners, including High Potential and Gifted (HPGE), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and English as an additional language or dialect (EAL/D) students.
A visible, approachable leader with strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive partnerships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
