Position Information
Glenfield Public School was established in 1882 and serves a school community of 476 student enrolments from 43 different nationalities. 85% of students are from backgrounds other than English and 1% of students are Aboriginal. Since establishment in 1882, many generations of families have returned to the school. Our dynamic school community has experienced continuing development with classes growing from 10 in 2010 to 19 in 2023.
Our school motto, "Strive to Achieve", encapsulates the ethos of our school. Staff focus on school and individual improvement by catering to the diverse educational needs of all students, through the application of quality teaching principles. Specific Selection Criteria
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, model and implement evidence-based and data-driven practices to cater for the range in student abilities, including high potential and gifted education, with a focus on high expectations to ensure the continuous improvement of all student outcomes across the curriculum.
Approachable leader with highly effective interpersonal skills with the capacity to build authentic relationships with students, staff, parents and the community, leading to improved student outcomes in wellbeing, behaviour and attendance at school.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
