Position Information
Calare is an innovative primary school situated in the centre of Orange, with a current student population of 575, comprising of 14% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 6% students with backgrounds other than English. The school offers high quality, differentiated education programs delivered through highly skilled and knowledgeable staff, in a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
The school has a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum including an enrichment class, an MC and Autism class and a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden. - Proven ability to lead and implement whole school improvement through data driven and differentiated practices that support staff in a change process.
- Capacity to develop and lead proactive whole school wellbeing initiatives with measurable evidence sets to monitor progress.
- Ability to manage the competing demands of the Assistant Principal role with the expectation of leading, inspiring and mentoring teachers in a culture of continuous improvement.
- Evidence of highly effective and collaborative leadership that builds whole school capacity to achieve the strategic directions of the school and promotes strong community partnerships.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
