This Role is a Full Time, 5 Year Contract commencing in 2021. 

About the role

The purpose of the Assistant Principal Administration - Secondary is to exercise leadership and assist with management of the school in accordance with Catholic Education policy and in consultation with other personnel as appropriate and with due reference to Catholic Education structures, processes and practices.

The position of Assistant Principal Administration - Secondary is a significant Senior Leadership position in the College’s organisational structure and a member of the College Leadership Team. The Assistant Principal Administration - Secondary provides general leadership in support of the Principal in the achievement of the acknowledged mission and goals of the College community. The Assistant Principal Administration – Secondary will have teaching responsibilities.

Role responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Rosters: Playground duty (staff and students), meetings schedule, beginning/end of year (staff)
  • Parent-Teacher Interviews
  • Timetable: Construction and maintenance timetable. teacher, room and resources timetables
  • Evacuations and Lockdown
  • Staff Replacements/Covers
  • Organise Schedules/Staffing for events
  • Assemblies: Assist with assemblies; make any changes to the daily routine for assemblies
  • Exams: Schedules for each term; staffing as necessary
  • Calendars: School (Year), assessment
  • Excursions: Trip approvals
  • Sport: Liaise with Sport Coordinator re: carnivals
  • Music: Liaise with the Cultural Coordinator re: concerts
  • NAPLAN and PAT testing: Scheduling and implementation: practice tests, tests
  • Expert Teaching Team: Assist in strategies determined by the CLT to develop teacher capacity
  • Assist with the Grievance and Complaint process: Dealing with parents, students and staff
  • Assist with any other duty as required by the Principal.
