Position Information
Putney Public School is located in Ryde and currently has an enrolment of 312 students. Our school culture is one of continuous growth for all our students and teachers, as we work collaboratively with our parents and community, to provide evidence-based, innovative practices in our pursuit of school excellence.
Students strive to be safe, responsible, respectful and active learners and uphold "Putney Power" in all aspects of school life. We are committed to supporting every student's unique learning journey and providing equitable outcomes. 51% of students have a language background other than English. Two students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. Support programs include, Indigenous education initiatives, and targeted literacy and numeracy programs.

Alongside that, we provide opportunities for our staff to continuously build their capabilities to ensure every student experiences high quality teaching, and we have a whole-school approach to the development of literacy and numeracy skills to ensure the most effective evidence-based teaching methods optimise learning outcomes for all students.
Extra-curricular opportunities in sport, creative and performing arts, technology, drama, debating and band enable our students to excel through a range of different experiences.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
This is a permanent part time position for 3 days per week 0.6FTE (Full-time equivalent).
Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
