Please note, this is a full-time position with 7 weeks annual leave, and it requires some work during school holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the team, ensuring high standards of professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure financial systems and procedures are accurate, efficient, and comply with legislation.
  • Assist in preparing and reporting monthly and annual financial accounts, liaising with auditors and external financial entities.
  • Manage the College’s Charter Bus Operation, ensuring effective service delivery and communication with families.
  • Support the Principal, Business Manager, and Leadership Team in financial decision-making and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage the College’s business functions, including finance, maintenance, ICT, OHS, compliance, and property management.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the College and its mission.
  • Knowledge of legislative frameworks related to payroll, leave, superannuation, and taxation.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team, managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Experience in financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Computer literacy, including using business software such as Microsoft office or other systems or LMS.
  • CPA or equivalent qualification is desired.
  • Experience in a school or higher education setting is advantageous.
