Veritas Education are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Dewsbury to recruit a passionate and creative Art Teacher.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, nurturing creativity and helping young people develop confidence through artistic expression. The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging Art lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum.
  • Encourage creativity, independent thinking and artistic development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and department where appropriate.

    • The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Art within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A passion for inspiring and motivating young people.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
