About the role:
As the Administrative Support Officer (Accreditation and Government Funding Eligibility), you will play a key role in supporting the Accreditation and Government Funding Eligibility team. You will assist with NSSAB meetings, managing correspondence, preparing corporate documentation, and maintaining accurate records. You will provide confidential administrative support, work collaboratively with internal teams, and establish effective relationships with external stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of the NSSAB Secretariat in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and database management, prioritizing and registering all incoming correspondence and telephone requests.
- Provide confidential administrative support and advice to management and other staff within the Secretariat, contributing to smooth and effective operations.
- Assist the Director in key support functions, including diary management, helping with accurate record management and documentation in compliance with data collection and privacy requirements.
- Contribute to fostering an environment focused on superior, timely service delivery.
- Monitoring and progressing correspondence, ensuring accuracy, alignment with established priorities, and appropriate follow-up actions will be critical aspects of your role.
- Support short-term business services projects and assignments, ensuring effective management of human resources, finances, and corporate operations.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports and correspondence
- A high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all administrative tasks
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently when required
- Previous experience in administrative or corporate support roles, ideally within government or regulatory environments
- Proficiency in record-keeping, database management, and office software
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Ability to support senior leadership with strategic tasks and ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities
