About Crescent Lagoon State School
Crescent Lagoon State School is a Band 8 school, catering for approximately 440 students from Preparatory to Year 6. The school is set on approximately one hectare, bounded by Eton street, North Street Extended and Willis Streets and services the western suburbs of Rockhampton and nearby outer areas. There is a range of cultural, racial, social and economic backgrounds in the Crescent Lagoon State School population.
About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administrative and support services - reception duties (answer phones and face-to-face queries), scheduling appointments, managing correspondence and maintaining school records (eg. student enrolments).
- Student and staff support
- Financial Administration - processing financial transactions, managing receipting etc.
- Documentation and Communication - preparation of meeting minutes, policy documents and other documents. Draft correspondence, with guidance, for non-routine communication.
About You
Our ideal candidate would possess the following attributes:
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and harmoniously within a team environment to achieve quality outcomes
- Have superior time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to use professional discretion
- Have previous experience relevant to the role.
- Experience in the use of OneSchool and IDAttend, or the ability to quickly acquire these skills
It would be advantageous if the candidate had:
- Previous experience in a Queensland school setting
