About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities

A Block Reception & Maths Faculty

  • Provide first point of contact for students visiting A Block Reception for the Maths/Science Staffroom.
  • Provide assistance to teachers and students with class material preparation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Heads of Department, including but not limited to typing, data entry, photocopying, filing, mail merges and maintenance of markbooks in Database.
  • Filing of student work and assessment in student portfolios.
  • Assist with the management of faculty resources and consumables.
  • Provide first aid when required.
  • OneSchool entry of approved missed examinations and extensions on to students' profile.
  • Collection of assignments from students whilst at reception.
  • Collation and duplication of exam papers and assignments including grouping into class sets and special provisions, recording of examination results and compiling students' results records.
  • Order stationery and manage distribution as necessary.
  • Follow purchasing and ordering policies as per EQ guidelines.
  • Organise student files; i.e left students, new students and subject changes.
  • Maintain printers including filling of paper and actioning with IT if maintenance is required.
  • Assist with set up of information evenings when required.
  • Other duties as requested.

Events Support

  • Assist with the production of certificates, invitations, signage and other materials for school activities and events.
  • Coordinate the booking, maintenance and storage of events/marketing resources and equipment.
  • Support school events as required.
  • Provide administration support to the Events Manager as directed.

  • Has strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders professionally and confidently.
  • Is able to work collaboratively as part of a team and can build strong working relationships and rapport with a diverse range of people.
  • Displays confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to staff and students.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Working knowledge of In-Design or similar would be an advantage
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think logically and solve problems.
