We are seeking a welcoming, motivated, and professional front office and administration support officer to join our school administration team. You will work collaboratively as part of a strong team serving the needs of students, families and staff at St Joseph's Tobruk, Beenleigh. You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative services in a wide variety of tasks and activities to maintain and enhance school operations. Across the working week, you will be on the front reception as well as administration support office.  

Typical duties include:

  • Answering phone calls; handling enquiries and reception counter; student, parent and staff liaison; correspondence; student absentee recording; data entry; sick bay and first aid duties and other administration tasks as required.
  • Administrative tasks within our student support team.
  • You will demonstrate outstanding levels of professionalism, privacy and discretion.
  • You must possess good clerical skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A high level of communication and interpersonal skills are required.


The successful applicant will be able to:

  • Provide administrative and operational support on a diverse range of matters.
  • Develop and/or administer processes and procedures, and respond to enquires.
  • Attend to local administrative systems and provide recommendations for enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with government and departmental legislation, directives, policies and standards.
  • Facilitate work to meet deadlines and commitments and to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Support staff as required, ensuring high standards of administrative support.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
