About Ormeau State School

Ormeau State School has been on this site in Mirambeena Drive since 1986. In this time, the enrolment has grown quite rapidly from one hundred and three children to over 930 in 2019. The school delivers quality educational programs to all our students. Our teachers are always happy to discuss your child's progress and we encourage you to meet with your child's teacher from time to time throughout the year.

About the Role

The successful candidate will need to have exceptional relational skills, be driven to build a positive, welcoming and supportive school culture and have the capability to support the other team members to meet targets, goals and outcomes each day.

The position will be multifaceted, working across areas including but not limited to:

  • Enrolments, Accounts Receivable, TRACER and timetabling, Student Services and Visitor Services. Experience with One School, Finance, Consent Managment and E-publisher highly desirable.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should display the following:

  • Extensive Account Receivable knowledge and understanding processes and policies
  • Thorough knowledge of DoE Enrolment policies and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skillsandhigh-level customer service
  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritising tasks without guidance and also ability to manage high pressure environments
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative duties
  • Perform financial, human resource and administrative operations of the office, including skilled use of Microsoft Office applications, OneSchool, OnePortal, SharePoint and Passtab
  • Provide a comprehensive range of executive and administrative support services including preparation of accurate and timely reports, correspondence and other documents where necessary
  • Operate autonomously to undertake day to day office procedures within well-defined policies and utilise information and management systems to support effective and efficient reporting and administration
  • Be a dedicated team player that works collaboratively with all team members
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
  • Undertake routine activities including client services, student services (telephone and counter enquiries); attending to first aid, arranging correspondence and general administration, maintaining school records, and processing emails.
