Innisfail State College is an independent public school comprising of a year 7-12 high school and an Early Childhood Development Program/Prep to year 12 special school called the Diverse Learning Centre. About the Role:
The Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact for many of our families and visitors, and plays a vital role in ensuring the school office operates efficiently. The role suits someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys variety, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.

Our administrative team is friendly, supportive, and committed to providing excellent service to students, families, staff, and the wider school community. We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and positive Administrative Assistant to join our office and help keep our vibrant school running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide warm, professional reception and customer service to students, parents, staff, and visitors.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries with efficiency and care.
- Support daily administrative operations including data entry, record keeping, and filing.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, calendars, and event logistics.
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and school policies at all times
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a school or education setting.
- Knowledge of school administration software.
- Essential Requirements.
- Previous experience in administration or customer service.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Working With Children Check / Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
