About the School:
Gympie Special School is a Qld Department of Education facility that provides specialised education for students from Prep to Year 12.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
- Process and monitor staff leave, provide advice to staff on leave requirements.
- Organise and manage supply and contract placements for both teaching and support staff.
- Assisting the Principal with school budgeting and managing financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, banking, reconciliations, Student Resource Scheme and One School reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist with the management and support of grounds, facilities and cleaning staff by providing support, sharing learning and demonstrating personal integrity.
- Implementing and monitoring process in accordance with departmental policy for the issue of school keys to staff and contractors.
- Preparing reports, meeting minutes, and school documentation.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including staff, parents, contractors, community members and departmental representatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and manage administrative support to school operations.
- Interpreting departmental and school policies, guidelines and ensuring legislative and procedural requirements are met.

- Experience in school or public sector administration (highly desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously while supporting the principal and wider school team
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
