About the Role:
As the Administration Officer - Finance & Facilities you will contribute to the effective and efficient management of our school by providing a high level of financial and infrastructure administrative support to the Business Manager. This position operates within a fast paced, small team environment and a high level of time management and prioritisation skills will be necessary.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Manage day-to-day school financial operations, including problem identification, research, consultation with program managers, and recommending solutions.
- Provide financial and administrative support, including data entry, maintaining financial registers, clerical support, and ensuring timely and accurate payment and recovery of accounts.
- Assist the Business Manager with budget monitoring and reviews, and provide program managers with budgetary, purchasing, and financial advice.
- Support resource, asset, facilities, and capital works management, including stocktakes, maintenance scheduling, compliance inspections, minor works, and liaison with external contractors.
- Implement and monitor systems and processes for school security, keys, electronic gates, capital works support, and other duties consistent with departmental policy and supervisor direction.
Highly desirable skills and experience:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in document preparation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, students, contractors, visitors and the wider community.
- Previous experience in state school would be advantageous, but not necessary.
