We have a fantastic opportunity for an innovative and experienced <<insert Title>> to join Penola Catholic College and work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Acting Head of Performing Arts and Music Teacher (Glenroy) will provide support to teachers within the Performing Arts Area on the Glenroy Campus (Year 7 & 8) and will work in collaboration with the Head of Performing Arts, Broadmeadows.
The Acting Head of Performing Arts and Music Teacher, Glenroy ensures the establishment of explicit high standards for learning in the specific learning area. The role will be committed to the implementation of best teaching practice and learning programs which meet the needs of every learner. The role will work with the learning area’s team members, providing direction, ensuring the implementation of best practice in teaching, quality learning programs and managing resources, to improve student learning outcomes.
The role must display a passion for learning, be an excellent classroom teacher, display innovative and inspiring classroom practices and be well versed in contemporary educational pedagogy. The role must develop and maintain curriculum programs at academically rigorous and challenging standards. Pedagogy and assessment practices are to be leading edge, while maintaining sound foundations in basic learning.
This role is full time for Terms 2, 3 and 4 2025. The role will commence first day of Term 2 Tuesday 22 April 2025. The role will be based at our Glenroy Campus.
About You
To be successful you will have previous experience in administrative duties and be able to maintain confidentiality. Previous experience working in a large secondary College would be advantageous. You must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

Penola Catholic College is a co-educational college for students from years 7-12 with two campuses in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. College campuses are situated in Glenroy, which caters for years 7 and 8, and the senior campus in Broadmeadows that features years 9 to 12 and a total college enrolment of approximately 1,400 students.
