About the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Financial Compliance, the Accounts Payable & Procurement Officer exists to provide financial and procurement support to Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB). The role offers a balanced blend of responsibilities in both accounts payable and procurement with duties that may consist of the following:

  • Managing accounts payable, including invoice verification, processing, and payments.
  • Supporting bank reconciliations, journal processing, and month/year-end tasks.
  • Providing administrative support for the credit card expense management system.
  • Offering procurement advice, training, and resolving procurement-related queries.
  • Maintaining supplier databases, monitoring procurement performance, and generating reports.
  • Assisting in policy and procedure updates and business improvement projects.

About You (Selection Criteria)
We are looking for someone able to address the following selection criteria:

  • Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent) and/or relevant finance and procurement experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of accounting and computing software packages
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment and to meet deadlines
  • Hold current valid driver’s licence and a willingness to undertake travel to schools as required
  • A willingness to support the values and ethos of the Catholic tradition in the workplace
