ASD Mini Conference & Wellbeing Workshop just announced
THE EDUCATION SHOW is fast approaching.
On from 2-4 September with a new venue at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Southbank, more than 85 companies offering education products and services have confirmed their participation.
Just announced is the Autism Spectrum Disorder Mini Conference to be held inside the Show on Sunday 4 September, with keynote speaker Professor Suzanne Carrington.
Attendees can take advantage of this important mini conference that has been designed to highlight the latest research on autism from a students’ perspective.
Key topics include the latest research on ASD for mainstream schools; ten Practical strategies for teaching students with autism spectrum disorders; and strategies to deal with Anxiety and Autism.
This is free for teachers and principals to attend, and is a referenced Special Needs Professional Development activity for VIT, with PD points also available to attendees at the conclusion.
From a yoga class specifically designed for teachers to participate in, to learning how to manage stress levels, there is something for everyone at the Wellbeing Workshop, also held on Sunday 4 September inside the Show.
This free workshop will allow visitors to learn how to remain calm in previously stressful situations; be happier and more productive; complete each day with greater energy & focus; and be more resilient to life’s challenges.
