Reading in the Digital Age

While books will always be treasured, the technologies of today and tomorrow bring words, pictures and conversations alive in new ways.

ALEA Victoria (Australian Literacy Educators' Association) and ACMI explore reading across many different platforms: from book to screen and examine the interplay between text, still, the moving image, and sound. The importance of critical thinking skills and how they are needed to critique, create and share meanings with diverse audiences both locally and globally will be investigated through inspiring keynotes and workshops.
