During this course, participants will gain practical skills and classroom management strategies for developing their own effective and positive classroom discipline system. They will learn how to strengthen teacher and student relationships, create positive classroom routines, teach appropriate social and emotional skills to students, and to transform everyday classroom behaviours in a respectful and caring manner. They will have opportunities to ask specific questions for their own understanding and learning, and practical classroom experiences. The aim is for participants to leave feeling more inspired, confident and ready to provide a learning environment for all students, within a framework of positive classroom discipline and management, so that all students can learn in an optimal, safe and respected environment.
This NESA-accredited course is a module at the Autumn Seminar for Steiner Primary and High School Teaching. We invite all new and experienced teachers to enrol in the course as a stand-alone workshop for Professional Development.
