How do you keep motivation up when there’s so much practice needed to add, subtract, multiply and divide? By playing games!

Maths can be so much fun for you and your students with the inclusion of some games in the classroom. You will have a chance to play and learn maths games that your students can use to revise key maths skills using common classroom materials you already have to build a maths games kit. We have done the hard work for you!

In this course you will learn:

·      the importance of practice of maths facts for your students

·      why games-based learning provides opportunities for spaced and retrieval practice in your classroom

·      engaging maths games using decks of cards and dice, readily found in your classroom for use in tomorrow’s class

This webinar runs for one hour and can be used toward teacher identified or elective professional learning hours.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for primary and high school teachers (Early Stage One to Stage Four), learning support teachers and teacher’s aides. 

A recording of the webinar and copy of the presentation will be sent to registrants via email the day after the presentation is delivered.
