ABOUT LANE CLARK
Lane Clark has a well-earned reputation as an expert in powerful pedagogy and in the design and delivery of engaging, rigorous curriculum.  Her authentic, trans-disciplinary approach to learning is founded on teaching students how to learn, how to think and how to use new technologies to enhance their learning. A culture of innovation, enterprise and citizenship is promoted as the ‘so what™’ stage of Lane’s learning model drives learners to ‘USE new learning to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others™’.
As a teacher, Lane has taught in the mainstream throughout the primary and secondary levels; she has worked with learners from across the ability spectrum and in numerous multi-age settings.
As a learning consultant and workshop facilitator, Lane has worked extensively with primary and secondary teachers, district level consultants, faculty of education professors and students, parent groups, school boards of directors, and business groups.
Lane is the author of two books: ‘Where Thinking and Learning Meet’ and, ‘Where Assessment Meets Thinking and Learning’, both published by Hawker Brownlow Publishing in Victoria, Australia.  Lane has developed an inquiry learning model; a thinking framework; 9 micro-processes for learning; a number of evaluation tools; and an organizational tool, the thinkchart, that guides learners in the explicit construction and deep processing of schema.
Lane is a highly sought after conference keynote speaker and an outstanding workshop presenter and facilitator.  To date, Lane has presented her ideas in sixteen countries across five continents.  Her ideas are used by students, teachers and schools in Canada, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, The United Kingdom, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Dubai, Spain, and Sweden.  Educators working with Lane are provided a practical approach to re-thinking and re-engineering how they plan, design, implement, assess and evaluate curriculum.
