You are invited to join Guest Presenter Joel Copeland who currently holds the position of Dean of Music at Canberra Girls Grammar School. Joel has directed choirs, bands, orchestras and ensembles across all year levels and was heavily involved in the development and implementation of an International Baccalaureate inquiry-based music curriculum in the Radford Junior School.
Joel is an exciting young presenter who has excellent ideas for the classroom. He will present a ‘mixed bag of primary through to secondary games and provide alterations for using all of the games in different contexts.’
The workshop will cover 3 sessions for Primary to Middle School Music Teachers:
- Fun & Games – singing for success within a play framework
- Lesson Planning in the Kodaly Setting
- Kodaly in blue – a blues unit for the middle school
