ATESOL - Confirming identity: Supporting students to tell and write their own stories

In this workshop teachers will be supported to try a range of practical strategies and work with a number of texts that may support the development of identity texts. Strategies will be explored to support the use of all the language resources a student brings to school, especially if Standard Australian English is not the first language. The focus will be on encouraging students to tell and write their own stories.
