2018 ASEPA National Conference

Over 20 years ago a small and dedicated group of special educators came together in Glenelg to discuss the creation of a national voice in Special Education. From this initial meeting our National Association was established. The words of those wonderful Australian poets Paul Kelly and Kev Carmody come to mind "from little things, big things grow" and that is very true of ASEPA.

As an association of practicing special school leaders we have achieved a lot in our short history. This is a credit to all who have contributed to the National Association. This conference is an opportunity to pause and give celebration, to reflect and refocus and to indeed continue to plan to Turn Tides.
