Young High School

Young High School is a rural comprehensive high school located approximately 4 hours south west of Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra and Wagga Wagga. We have a strong focus on academic achievement and work on an aspirational thinking philosophy. The school has an enrolment of 580 students from diverse cultural backgrounds, including 8% Aboriginal students and a support unit consisting of 3 support classes: moderate intellectual disability (IO), and two multi-categorical classes (MC). The school works closely with the local community and is represented on numerous youth related committees. The school receives significant equity funding which allows for the introduction of new programs and initiatives to boost student-learning outcomes.
