The Senior Psychologist, Education coordinates and professionally supervises a team of school counsellors/school psychologists to deliver high quality psychological services to schools. They work closely with schools, other members of educational services teams and agencies to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
The Senior Psychologist, Education provides professional leadership in the delivery of psychological services to school communities and has a key leadership role as part of the networked specialist centres.
Woniora Road School is a school for specific purpose located in the Hurstville area. The school caters for students who have been diagnosed with an emotional disorder and/or mental health issues. The school has capacity for 42 enrolments ranging from Years 7 to 12. All students can be eligible to sit the Higher School Certificate. The school has a commitment to provide quality learning programs with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy and student wellbeing. Teachers are required to support and implement a mainstream curriculum with the support of distance education in stages 5 & 6.
Leichhardt Public School, with a current enrolment of 743, including 2% Aboriginal students, 43% of students with a language background other than English, is located in the centre of Leichhardt. The school’s historic buildings and leafy playground provide an inviting backdrop for the many programs on offer. The school places a strong emphasis on developing the whole student in academic as well as social, sporting and cultural pursuits, valuing and nurturing the unique qualities and academic talents of each student.
