Wollongong High
School of the Performing Arts is a secondary school with an enrolment of
approximately 1224 students, including 64 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
students. The school has the twin goals of academic excellence and excellence
in the performing arts. School priorities include Educational Impact, Community
Connections and Connect Succeed Thrive - Contemporary Wellbeing. Wollongong
High School of the Performing Arts
has a strong community reputation for
success both academically and in the arts. The school boasts a comprehensive
sporting program and offers a wide range of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. The staff is committed and caring and
there is a balance of early career and highly experienced teachers. Wollongong
High School of the Performing Arts also has Hearing Unit located on site and an
Emotional Disturbance Unit (Smith Street) located off site.
