Westlawn Public School is a dynamic caring and inclusive learning community in the city of Grafton and is on Bundjalung Country. The school is located in the outer urban area of Grafton with students from the established township, new estates and rural areas. Westlawn has an increasing enrolment, currently 512 students including 56 Aboriginal students. The FOEI is 113. Our school vision keeps us focussed on providing quality teaching, learning and leadership. The school has strong sporting traditions which have seen recent success at State levels in hockey, swimming and athletics. Parents play active roles in a variety of ways within the school. The school enjoys strong support from our community and AECG and high levels of community engagement. Strong Indigenous cultural programs operate across the school, supported by community and local Elders. Westlawn Public School is currently engaged in STEM professional learning and is seeking opportunities to build programs in this area. Westlawn Public School is a member of the Grafton Community of Schools which provides opportunities for sharing and reflecting on ideas and best practice relating to teaching and learning, educational leadership and providing a culture of quality support for teachers and students.

It is anticipated that this position will commence on 28 January 2020.
