Wentworthville Public School has an enrolment of 702 students, including 95.3% from a Non-English speaking background with a high intake of students who are newly arrived to the country. The school caters for students from a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities with three Multi Categorical classes in the support unit. The school community has high expectations for student achievement where students are challenged through explicit quality teaching and future focused learning programs where individual learning needs are catered for. Student Wellbeing is supported by Positive Behaviour for Learning, KidsMatter, Focus on Reading and 8 ways pedagogy. Wentworthville Public School is growing as a community and is identified as one of the new school’s upgrade of facilities as part of the School Infrastructure NSW Planning initiative. This redevelopment will see the establishment of a new future focused development of the school site along with the refurbishment of a number of current learning spaces.
