Vineyard Public School is a small school based in a semi-rural setting with 51 enrolments spread over 3 multi-stage/composite classes. Students enrolled at the school are from a range of abilities and learning needs, with 14% of students from Aboriginal background and 22% of students with English as an additional language or dialect. We are an Early Action for Success School with an Instructional Leader 1 day per week. Vineyard Public School has valued community links and is characterised by its welcoming, friendly atmosphere and its caring and nurturing learning environment. The school continues to deliver high quality, differentiated education programs delivered by dedicated staff in order to improve student outcomes in literacy, numeracy and engagement. As a 'Positive Behaviour for Learning' school, our values of being ‘Safe, Respectful Learners' are embedded in programs, practices and relationships. Students are supported through positive, effective student welfare systems that reward their excellent behaviour. The school maintains a strong partnership with parents and the community through an active Parents and Citizens (P&C), who provide support for resources to enhance student learning and opportunities. Vineyard Public school is a member of the Hawkesbury Small Schools Learning Community and participates in partnership with The Ponds Network of Schools.
