Umina Beach Public School is a large school with a current enrolment of 755 students, including 60 Aboriginal students. The school has 29 mainstream classes. Umina Beach Public School provides a wide range of extra curricular activities

and is a proud member of the Brisbane Water Learning Community. Current priorities include the incorporation of technology into classroom practice, future focused learning practices, improving student outcomes in writing and numeracy, monitoring and tracking student achievement and enhancing community and student engagement. The committed staff range from newly appointed to very experienced. The school has a strong and active Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) and is an active participant in the local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group. The school embraces positive behaviour for learning.
