Two Friends Productions is a theatre company that specialises in creating fun, comedic and educational plays for children of all ages.
The plays are comedies, filled with physical comedy, heightened characters, song, unique scripts, and bright, imaginative props and costumes.
Many of the plays focus on a figure from history, or take a look at an area of science, history, or world events, always in the most entertaining way possible. Other plays are purely for fun and entertainment.
All the plays hold messages of self-belief, confidence, and following your dreams.
Two Friends Productions performs for schools, camps, holiday programs, museums and other cultural institutions.
The theatre company is owned and run by Jade Thomson and Amanda Bermand, who research, write, develop, produce and perform all shows.

Two Friends Productions aims to introduce children to educational topics in a fun and engaging way. Jade and Amanda co-create each play with a strong emphasis on comedy and entertainment in order to fully engage and educate young audiences.
Amanda and Jade met whilst studying a Bachelor of Arts (Acting) at the University of Ballarat Arts Academy.
They graduated in 2009 and Two Friends Productions was born the same year.
In the past six years Two Friends Productions has delighted thousands of children whilst working with The State Library of Victoria, Narmbool Discovery Camps, The National Wool Museum, Urban Camp, Cultural Infusion, many schools as well as recurring seasons at Sovereign Hill, The National Sports Museum and La Mama Courthouse.
This fast-paced, “punny” kids show will have children rolling in the aisles… The creators/performers have clearly put a lot of heart into this pantomime and their energy is infectious. Parents looking for some comic-distraction for their children will certainly find it here.

Next was a performance of a short drama by Two Friends Productions, which told the Burke and Wills story from the point of view of Dr Ludwig Becker, the “artist-slash-naturalist” of the Expedition. Their rendition of his life (and death) was hilarious, but at the same time provided the students with plenty of well-researched information about the Expedition.

That explanation of why WWI started has to be the most inspired I’ve ever seen.
– Our Anzacs and their Legacy, Jennifer Forest for the Ballarat Heritage Weekend 2015
A great mix of humour, accessible language and action.
– The Story of a Tree, Sara Gillies of the National Wool Museum
Digger of a good time! Loved the Diggers!
Great energy, visuals and clever use of props.
