Tumbulgum Public School is a small, friendly, and inclusive school located along the banks of the Tweed River approximately 10km from Murwillumbah. The school supports the diverse needs of students in a nurturing, family-oriented setting. The school community is excited to move into a new purpose-built facility towards the end Term 4, 2025, which will feature modern classrooms, a library, canteen, administration spaces, and landscaped outdoor areas.
The school places a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy as the foundation of learning and also prioritises the development of the whole child through sport, creative arts, technology, and excursions. Individualised learning programs are implemented to engage students and support their academic and personal growth.
Tumbulgum Public School currently has 19 students with 21% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
The school also benefits from the support of an engaged and active community, with families contributing to all aspects of school life.
