Thomas Acres Public School currently has an enrolment of 525 students, numbers do fluctuate up and down as a significant proportion of the community move in and out of the area. The school has 20 mainstream classes and 3 support unit classes. Thomas Acres Public School caters for students from diverse language, cultural and predominantly low socio - economic backgrounds. The school has an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population of approximately 15%. The school delivers a variety of leadership, learning and cultural groups to support and engage our students and community.
Thomas Acres Public School staff are committed to knowing and valuing every child. Wellbeing and Trauma Informed Practices are implemented to support and care for our students and community. The school fosters quality learning environments with continual improvement in literacy and numeracy. Formative assessment has been a key aspect of our quality teaching approach for the last three years.
