Tathra Public School (enrolment 208 students) is located on the far south coast of NSW. It is a proud member of the Sapphire Coast Learning Community (SCLC), the Bega Community of Schools and the Batemans Bay Principals' Network. The local community has a deep connection to the school, evident through the support of a dedicated Parents and Citizens’ Association and a number or reciprocal initiatives.
Teachers use a consistent, collaborative and evidence-based approach to improve the literacy and numeracy students through the application of Visible Learning principles. The Positive Behaviour for Learning model also underpins wellbeing and discipline policies and practices. Students have access to a wide range of learning opportunities through Japanese, Aboriginal language and culture, creative and performing arts, coding and gardening programs.
